1) What is Browser-Safe Colour Palette/Web-Safe Colour?
- It means the same set of colour in the webpage.
2) Is it still relevant in today’s content? Why?
- Yes, it is still relevant in today’s content. Its is because the colour in the website affects the design and the mood of the website. For example, if you are designing a webpage for a horror movie, and you use bright colours in the same set, it doesn’t give you the horror feeling. After viewing the webpage, people might not even want to watch the movie anymore.
3) What are the common font face found on PC & Mac?
- Arial
- Times new roman
- Verdana
- Georgia
- Impact
4) What is page loading time and how it influence your design?
- A page loading time is how long you have to wait while visiting a webpage. If a webpage is very big and it takes very long to load, those who are visiting the webpage will not hestitate to click the ‘X’ button as viewers do not have the patience. But you can ease the waiting time by doing something to entertain the viewers while waiting.
5) Read about web design article and write what you think about it. (http://www.web-strategist.com/blog/2007/03/19/web-design-and-worflow-process-comparison/)
- I think is article is really useful as it tells you every single detail you have to look out for when designing a web. However, they are using some words that are very difficult to understand. For example, “No Smoke, No Mirrors”. If all those who are new in designing a web reads the steps on how to do a good web, it will be difficult for them to understand. Even after reading it quite a few times, i still dun now understand what is “No Smoke, No Mirrors”. Therefore, i think that they should use simpler language to teach us on how to design a good web. Overall, i think that the article is very useful and good for people like us who are new to web design as it tells you the steps on designing a web. And also what you have to look out for and take note of.
